During the late nineties, we began talking with Wisconsin family farmers about creating a locally-owned organic dairy brand. Right from the beginning, we all agreed to not only meet the USDA organic standards, but exceed them. What's more, we all agreed on a commitment to the highest possible quality. We wanted to sell milk and dairy products that were organic and delicious.

Since those early beginnings, we've grown fast. And in the years ahead, you'll be able to find our products at more and more stores. But as we grow, we pledge that we'll never sacrifice quality. We'll never sacrifice our commitment to organic goodness, fair trade, minimal packaging, and efficient distribution practices.

At Wisconsin Organics, we're proud of the fresh, natural dairy products we put on your family's table. Milk that tastes like fresh milk should taste. Cheeses that are organic and delicious. Butter that you will see a difference before you even taste the difference! And more fine dairy products that are still to come.

We're also proud, however, of how we're helping to support family farmers, small cheese factories, and rural communities all across America's Dairyland.

For now, at least, organic dairy production is giving small family farms a better chance of competing with corporate factory farms. For one thing, they're able to sell organic milk for a slightly higher price. Yes, it's more work to produce. But going organic also means lower input costs - smaller vet bills and, obviously, no bills at all for things like bovine growth hormones, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. Additional fuel cost and human labor can cause higher prices.

We pledge not to procure milk from factory farmers skirting the edge of organic standards and undermining the spirit of the standards.

Organic production has also meant survival for a number of Wisconsin's small cheese factories. Despite their award-winning products, many of these small factories have been forced to close their doors in recent years. And every time it happens, jobs are gone.

Why is it happening? Competition from giant national and multi-national brands. With their economies of scale, these corporations are able to mass-produce a much lower-quality product - at only a slightly lower price.

But by producing organic cheeses, we're helping some of these small factories stay in business. Along the way, we're helping to prevent quality cheesemaking from becoming a lost art.

At Wisconsin Organics, we're proud to be the Midwest's leading brand of organic dairy products. We thank you for your support and your kind words. Enjoy our products, and please tell your friends about us!
